Sham is in the Gaza Strip with her two older brothers, Anas and Ahmed. Unfortunately, Sham’s mother is unable to breastfeed her. The weekly cost of baby formula and diapers is currently 400 shekels, which is about $100. Additionally, they need at least 500 shekels a week to provide food for the other 4 family members.

Winter is approaching, bringing an incredibly difficult time for Gaza. Sham lives in a makeshift tent, which offers no protection against the coming elements. The aim of this fundraiser is to provide the family with food, warm clothes necessary for winter and hard-to-find and expensive medicines.

Gaza has been cut off from any income for a year now.

It is not difficult to draw a conclusion – THEIR FUTURE DEPENDS ON US.

Sham’s father, Moath, wrote a letter for you to explain the situation they are in:

“My name is Moath, and I have been married for 7 years. Together, we have three beautiful children. My oldest son, Ahmad, is 6 years old and should be in first grade, but war has stolen that from him. My second son, Anas, is in preschool, and our precious baby girl, Sham, was born into a world of conflict—she is almost 4 months old and has already known more suffering than most do in a lifetime.

Before the war, I worked as a freelancer, managing to provide for my family. Now, my wife suffers from a chronic thyroid disease, and the medicine she needs is unavailable in Gaza due to the devastating circumstances.

Since the war began, our lives have been torn apart. I lost my job, my home, and for nearly a year, we have been displaced, living in tents that offer no shelter from the scorching heat of summer or the freezing chill of winter.

My children are deprived of everything—not because I cannot provide, but because the necessities of life simply no longer exist. Ahmad and Anas have been robbed of their education, and it breaks my heart to say that baby Sham struggles without access to milk and diapers, which are only available through immense difficulty. Food is scarce and unhealthy, and the cost of living has skyrocketed. All I wish is for my family to live in better conditions, to provide my children with some semblance of happiness and safety.

Please, if you’re reading this, consider standing with us in our time of need. Your help could mean the world to my family.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time and any assistance you can provide.”
